Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 RMN/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist to deliver gatekeeping assessments for young people (13–18) as part of the CYPMHS Access Team at The Cove. The post involves working across the Lancashire & South Cumbria footprint in diverse settings to assess and plan care.

Responsibilities

• Complete holistic gatekeeping assessments for young people aged 13–18 across Lancashire & South Cumbria.
• Undertake CYPMH access assessments in settings including A&E, paediatric wards, police custody and home environments.
• Contribute to joint mental health act assessments and crisis interventions for acute cases.
• Coordinate care and inform internal staff about out-of-area admissions and specialist bed needs.
