Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in the North West of England is recruiting for a Band 6 RMN/Social Worker/OT to deliver gatekeeping CYPMHS assessments for young people aged 13 to 18. The post is based at The Cove and will operate across the Lancashire and South Cumbria footprint in settings such as A&E, paediatric wards, police custody and home environments.

Qualifications

• 1st level registered nurse, social worker or OT.
• Must have completed relevant preceptorship/equivalent.
• Experience supervising and managing cases.
• Experience carrying out CYPMH gate-keeping assessments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake gate-keeping CYPMH assessments for 13–18-year-olds across the footprint.
• Work across settings (A&E, paediatric wards, custody, home) from The Cove.
• Contribute to mental health act assessments and risk management.
• Coordinate care for young people and families, including out-of-area bed planning.
