Job summary

The Supply Register, on behalf of East Lancashire College Group, is seeking a motivated Training and Development Coach - Children & Young People to guide apprentices through their programmes and help them develop occupational competence.

You will monitor progress, provide coaching and feedback, and work across workplace and college environments to support learners toward End-Point Assessments and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Child and Adult DBS registered on Update Service
• GCSEs (English/Maths) at C/4 or above
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
• Recognised Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA)
• Internal Quality Assurance qualification (V1) desirable
• Teaching qualification (PTLLS/CertEd/PGCE) desirable
• Ability to deliver apprenticeship standards up to Level 3 and Level 6

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality coaching, training and assessment to Children & Young People apprentices
• Support learners in developing practical skills and professional knowledge
• Monitor apprentice progress against apprenticeship standards
• Conduct workplace visits and provide constructive feedback to learners and employers
• Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessments (EPA)
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, reviews and assessment evidence
• Collaborate with employers and college staff to ensure successful learner outcomes
• Motivate apprentices to develop confidence, skills and professional practice
