Job summary

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool invites applications for two fixed term 12‑month Training Posts at Band 5/6 to undertake the Post Graduate Diploma in Interpersonal Therapy for Adolescents (IPT‑A).

These CYP MH posts are hosted by Sefton CAMHS and Alder Hey Hospital, with university teaching at Manchester University. They require 200 hours of modality practice and placement days across the year, commencing January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in child and adolescent mental health is desirable.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams with supervision.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection considerations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical interventions within CYP MH under supervision.
• Attend university-based taught and self-study days.
• Provide support during placement across Sefton CAMHS and Alder Hey services.
