Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer training posts within CYP Mental Health services. The 12-month fixed-term posts recruit to train for Post Graduate Diploma in CBT and Systemic Family Practice, with placements across Sefton CAMHS and Alder Hey Hospital.

B5/B6 dependent on experience, with university-based teaching beginning January 2025. These posts require commitment to professional development, attendance at taught days, and clinical supervision to gain hours toward

Qualifications

• Knowledge of behavioural based interventions.
• Understanding needs of people from different ethnic backgrounds and disabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, safety factors in self-harming behaviours and child protection.
• Organisational skills to manage and prioritise workload.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, outcome informed, evidence-based interventions within CYP MH under supervision.
• Attend university taught and self-study days starting January 2025.
• Provide clinical practice hours across Sefton CAMHS with supervision.

Education

B6 core profession qualification with BABCP accreditation or equivalent

B5 degree level qualification in child and family field
