Job summary

The West London NHS Trust hosts a CYP IAPT trainee post within CAMHS services, integrating the trainee with CYP MHS. The NHSE-funded training post involves part-time work as a Practitioner in an NHS CAMHS service and part-time studying with UCL/Anna Freud, focusing on CBT training.

Trainees work across Ealing CAMHS, Hammersmith & Fulham CAMHS, or Hounslow CAMHS while receiving supervision and completing a structured CBT training programme as part of CYPIAPT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related subject and BABCP core profession or equivalent experience.
• Previous training in a mental-health related profession (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, etc.).
• Proven academic attainment and ability to complete a KSA portfolio if needed.
• Evidence of meeting BABCP criteria and willingness to join BABCP student membership.

Responsibilities

• Accept referrals with supervisor guidance and assess suitability.
• Decide on suitability of new referrals following referral protocols.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
• Involve caregivers and schools in treatment using clear language.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings related to referrals or treatment.
