Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is offering a CBT Trainee position as part of the NHSE WT&E Recruit to Train Programme in partnership with the University of Reading, Charlie Waller Institute. Trainees will work clinically while studying for a Postgraduate Diploma, with protected study time and travel to Reading for lectures.

The role is based in the CAMHS Access Service, with a workload split between clinical sessions and training days.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria: RMN, OT, SW or equivalent professional qualification.
• Continuing professional development—commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the multidisciplinary team and accept referrals per service protocols.
• Assess clients for CBT suitability under supervision.
• Formulate and evaluate therapy programmes using evidence-based practices.
• Involve families when appropriate and communicate in accessible language.
• Maintain clinical records and report on clinical activity.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborate on care plans under senior leadership.
• Provide regular supervision and participate in appraisals and CPD activities.
