Job summary

Recruit4staff is representing a precision engineering company seeking a Manual Cylindrical Grinder to join their Liverpool facility. You will set and operate a manual cylindrical grinder, perform tool changes, and rough and finish grind shafts up to 4m from detailed drawings, while maintaining tight tolerances on exotic metals.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £39,000 per year depending on experience, with overtime earnings that can push total earnings significantly higher.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent is essential.
• Experience with steadies and turning precision shafts up to 4.0 m is essential.
• Experience machining exotic metals is essential.
• Must be able to operate manual machines (essentials).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a precision engineering company in their search for a Manual Cylindrical Grinder to work at their facility in Liverpool.

For the successful Manual Cylindrical Grinder, our client is offering:

• Upto £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)


• WIth Overtime earnings in excesss of £50,000


• Monday to Friday, 7.30 AM - 4.30 PM Mon -Thurs and Fri finish at 12.30 PM

The role - Manual Cylindrical Grinder:

• Setting and operating a manual cylindrical grinder


• Tool changing


• Rough and finish grind shafts up to 4m in length


• Working from detailed engineering drawings


• Working to extremely tight tolerances


• Working with exotic metals


• Producing bespoke parts for a variety of industry sectors.

What our client is looking for in a Manual Cylindrical Grinder

• Must be time served NVQ 3 or Equivalent (ESSENTIAL)


• Previous experience in using steadies and turning precision pump shafts up to 4.0 m in length (ESSENTIAL)


• Previous experience with the machining of exotic metals (ESSENTIAL)


• Must be able to operate manual machines (ESSENTIAL)


• Experience in a previous or similar position (2 years minimum)


• Understand ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems (ESSENTIAL)
