Description

This role has a starting salary of £32,512 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

We are excited to be recruiting a Cycle Training Supervisor to join our fantastic Cycle Training team, based in Woking. The team work on a hybrid basis, a mixture of office and home working. You will usually need to work 2-3 days in the office per week.

Please note, the contractual location for this role is currently Quadrant Court, however it is our intention to move within the local area to Victoria Gate in Central Woking later this year.

About the Role

As a member of the Cycle Training team, you will help to support our customers and the 85 Cycling Instructors who are located across the County. It's a small team, we handle scheduling the delivery programme and all the operational issues arising.

As the Cycle Training Supervisor, a large part of your role will involve scheduling courses and interacting with school staff and Instructors on a daily basis. You will also need to be able to ride a cycle and to be involved in a small amount of practical training each year, as well as other on-site tasks such as observing instructors and undertaking risk assessments, therefore, you will need to be prepared to undertake the instructor qualification training.

Beyond the direct cycle training office team are colleagues in corporate teams providing support in relation to budget, pay, terms and conditions and resolving issues that arise: teams in HR, Finance, Business Support, Pensions, Corporate Information Governance, IT. The cycle training team works within the policies and procedures that are set corporately.

Examples of daily operational tasks that are shared in the team:

  • Schedule training requests including allocating instructors.
  • Support tickets and enquiries (email and phone) from schools.
  • Checking take-up of courses against registration closing and following up where necessary, eg, extending registration period.
  • Taking enquiries from parents about bookings and from the public about community training.

Other periodic tasks:

  • Processing pay claims.
  • Processing expenses claims.
  • Managing our stock of resources.
  • Participating in team planning meetings.
  • Contributing towards developing the cycle training offer.
  • Visiting instructors at training venues.
  • Occasionally delivering cycle training, eg, cover when an Instructor is ill.
