Your primary responsibility is to provide expert bicycle repair and maintenance services to customers, ensuring bicycles are serviced, repaired, and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service and advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Bicycle Repairs: Perform a wide range of repairs, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, drivetrain maintenance, and suspension service. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues accurately.
- Bicycle Assembly: Assemble new bicycles according to manufacturer guidelines and store standards, ensuring safety and readiness for sale.
- Service Consultations: Interact with customers to assess their repair and maintenance needs, providing recommendations and cost estimates.
- Parts and Accessories: Assist customers in selecting appropriate parts, accessories, and upgrades.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Quality Control: Ensure all repaired bicycles meet quality standards and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized workshop, managing spare parts and tools inventory.
- Customer Service: Offer excellent service, explain repair work, answer questions, and advise on bicycle maintenance.

Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in bicycle mechanics, with the ability to diagnose and repair various bicycle types and components
- Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of different bicycle brands, models, and components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety standards and repair practices
- Willingness to stay updated on bicycle technology and repair techniques
Work Environment & Conditions
Work is primarily in a workshop environment. May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, may be needed based on store hours and customer demand.
