Job summary

Leisure Lakes Bikes in Cheltenham is hiring a proactive, customer-focused technician to join our team. The role blends bicycle workshop duties with on-floor sales, using workshop management software to book service orders, manage customer records and schedules.

You should hold Cytech Level 2 or higher, be computer-literate, and able to work well in a team and independently when needed. Competitive pay, weekend flexibility, and 28 days holiday are offered.

We are seeking a proactive, hard-working, and computer-literate individual with a passion for cycling to join our team

The ideal candidate will be conscientious, dedicated, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail. You must be capable of problem-solving, managing your workload effectively, and working independently when required.

General IT competency is essential, as you will be required to use our workshop management systems to manage bookings, customer records, and workshop schedules.

Cytech Level 2 qualification and above is desirable

Along with the mechanic duties, there is a shared role with sales and will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of our store. You will be working on a busy shop floor, assisting customers with product advice, answering questions, and helping riders find the right solutions for their needs.

Skills/Experience Required

• Qualification to Cytech level 2 or 3 is preferred, although specific training in all areas will be provided to the successful candidate.
• Previous experience within a workshop team environment is desirable, albeit not a requirement.
• General IT competency is necessary as you will be required to work as part of a team and share the diary/workload with your colleagues using a computer program and database.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Assisting the sales staff on the shop floor when needed.

Working Hours

Our Cheltenham store operates Seven days per week with trading hours typically ranging from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work across these operating hours, including weekends and peak trading periods. Split shifts may be required.

Full time hours range from 35-40 hours per week
