Job summary

Seetec Business Technology Centre in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT Services team in Hockley, with hybrid or remote working considered. The role focuses on operating, improving, and implementing security controls across internal and customer environments using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Huntress, and Tenable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security operations experience in security engineering or SOC roles.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender technologies.
• Experience investigating alerts and incidents using endpoint, identity, cloud, and email telemetry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows, endpoint, server, and network security.
• Experience implementing security controls and delivering technical security projects.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and security improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and investigate security alerts, incidents, and threats across internal and customer environments.
• Administer and optimise security platforms including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Huntress, and Tenable.
• Conduct technical investigations into suspicious activity, security alerts, and potential breaches.
• Support vulnerability management processes, remediation tracking, and security assurance activities.
• Deliver technical security projects and implement new security controls, integrations, and monitoring capabilities.
• Produce and maintain accurate documentation, investigation reports, runbooks, and technical guidance.
