Job summary

University of Bath invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Cyber Security. The roles span Lecturer (Assistant Professor) to Reader (Associate Professor) with two positions aligned to experience and research standing.

The appointees will contribute to our Cyber security, Safety and Governance research group, publish high-quality work, teach across UG/PG courses, and help lead collaborations with industry and international partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with a first degree or equivalent.
• Membership of a professional body and a higher education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCert, FHEA) are desirable.
• Emerging track record for Lecturers; established research profile with funding for Senior Lecturers/Readers.
• Strong conceptual understanding of the subject and experience teaching UG/PG levels.
• Commitment to excellence in research and teaching, student experience and ethical conduct.
• Academic leadership and clear research vision for Senior Lecturers/Readers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish research with colleagues and students.
• Lead design and delivery of teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Contribute to running the department (e.g., student placements, ethics, admissions, lead a research team).
