About The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead the continuous development and day-to-day operation of our security practice across Amentum’s corporate IT, International zone. The International zone covers approximately 7,500 users, 50+ sites across 10+ countries within the UK, EMEA and APAC area.

This role will report to the IT Director - International and operates within a matrixed-model to deliver first-class services and outcomes. This will be a remote position, with a base office in Birchwood Park, Warrington, and infrequent travel.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drive Regional Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement regional cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and roadmaps aligned with global standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
  2. Ensure Regional Compliance & Risk Management: Enforce cybersecurity policies, manage regional risks, and oversee security assurance and audits.
  3. Champion Secure Development & Operations (DevSecOps): Foster a security-first culture through continuous learning and skill development within operational teams.
  4. Maintain Regional Security Certifications & Expertise: Manage relevant cybersecurity certifications and provide expert support for bids, contracts, and supplier assurance.
  5. Lead Regional Security Operations & Incident Response: Oversee threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident investigations, and response within the corporate network.
  6. Bridge Global & Regional Security: Collaborate with global security teams, ensuring alignment and addressing local business needs.
  7. Build & Lead a High-Performing Team: Develop and manage the regional cybersecurity team, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
  8. Provide Regional Cybersecurity Leadership & Advice: Serve as a trusted advisor, building relationships and providing guidance to regional stakeholders.
  9. Drive Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Monitor control effectiveness, report on security posture, and implement lessons learned.
  10. Manage Security Relationships & Projects: Oversee regional security vendors and manage cybersecurity projects effectively.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive Cybersecurity experience
  2. Good breadth of technical skills, covering DevSecOps and including Microsoft Azure and on-prem environments
  3. Demonstrable experience in defining and owning the cybersecurity strategy, roadmap and performance dashboards
  4. A self-starter: highly proactive, dynamic and passionate
  5. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  6. Business-case experience, to justify further investment and benefit cases
  7. Resilient in the face of challenge and resistance to change
  8. Degree-educated or significant demonstrable experience
  9. Experienced working in large scale enterprises (5,000 employees)
  10. Demonstrable evidence of working alongside operational and project & programme colleagues
  11. Experience working with 3rd party cybersecurity partners
