Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Customs Compliance Administrator to support Import/Export operations at the Yeovil facility. You will submit customs clearance instructions to brokers and coordinate with import agents to ensure UK regulations are followed.

On-site presence is required for at least three days per week, with hybrid options. The role covers data checks, HMRC export declarations, and collaboration with the Customs Compliance Operations Manager to resolve anomalies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple customers and prioritising workload to meet requirements.
• Self-motivated with high personal work standards and reliable teamwork.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiarity with import/export/trade compliance.
• Awareness of SAP S4/HANA and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the business to issue correct clearance instructions to import brokers.
• Instruct freight agents and ensure compliance with business requirements.
• Verify data and ensure Leonardo instructions for import clearance are followed.
• Address anomalies in collaboration with the Customs Compliance Operations Manager.
• Notify business of import clearance conditions and manage export declarations to HMRC.
• Prepare and reconcile data packs for audits and reports to UK authorities.
• Process and reconcile freight forwarder invoices where applicable.
