Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Customs Compliance Administrator to support Import/Export operations at Yeovil. You will prepare and submit customs clearance instructions to brokers to ensure compliant inbound declarations, and assist the Import/Export Control team with day-to-day admin tasks. On-site attendance is required three days per week in Yeovil.

The role requires prior experience with multiple customers, strong prioritisation, and a collaborative approach to compliance and teamwork.

Your Impact

We are seeking a Customs Compliance Administrator to work within iourTrade Compliance Function to support the activities of the Import/Export operations located at Leonardo UK’s Yeovil facility.

As a Customs Compliance Administrator you will be responsible for the submission of Import/Export customs clearance instructions to brokers in accordance with UK customs regulations and company procedures to facilitate inbound customs declarations.

You will be required to be on site a minimum of three days a week at Yeovil.

What you will do

• Liaising with business to ensure correct and accurate clearance instructions can be issued to import agent/import broker

• Submission of export declarations to UK HMRC in accordance with UK regulations and company procedures

What you’ll bring

You will have previous experience of working for multiple customers which will require good prioritisation of workload to align to the customer requirements.

You will be self-motivated and set high personal work standards. Working as part of a team, the candidate will demonstrate collaborative and supportive behaviours. The ability to build strong and trusted relationships to achieve objectives is required.

We will need you to:

• Have good all round computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications

• Working knowledge of import/export and trade compliance matters

• Awareness of, and general familiarity with, SAP S4/HANA

It is desirable that you understand trade compliance considerations for international support programmes within the aerospace, defence and security sector.
