Job summary

Noble Recruiting Limited in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking an experienced Customs Clerk to join a small, personable team and to be cross-skilled to support Sales with internal support and Key Account management!

The role covers EU, UKI and international shipments, with responsibility for customs docs, liaison with freight forwarders, and managing customer orders from placement to delivery while maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of customs procedures for day-to-day shipments.
• Understanding of commodity/HS codes, customs valuation and declarations.
• Confident and professional communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Diligent, accurate, with an excellent eye for detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop customs knowledge over time.

Responsibilities

• Support customs requirements for EU, NI and international shipments.
• Prepare and review customs documents for accuracy and follow-up.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers and agents on queries.
• Maintain customs records and documentation for audits.
• Provide general customer and sales support and process orders/quotes.
• Manage customer orders from placement to delivery, updating on changes.
