Job summary

FDH Aero is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Compliance Administrator to support international import/export operations from the UK. You will handle customs entries, provide clearance instructions to forwarders, and coordinate between customers, suppliers, consignees and agents.

Responsibilities include preparing and submitting customs entries, applying procedures, and ensuring compliance with evolving laws.

Qualifications

• Experience with import/export clearance processes and customs procedures.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, commodity coding, and classification.
• Understanding of trade compliance concepts and export controls.
• Knowledge of duty reliefs and warehousing basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with agents, customers, and consignees on customs matters.
• Prepare and submit import/export customs entries in the ERP system.
• Provide clearance instructions to forwarders and ensure compliance.
• Apply customs procedures and coordinate documentation across parties.
• Stay current with changing customs laws and regulations.

We Are Looking For

General administrative duties in compliance with customs formalities and practices. To assist in the day to day running of the customs department, with tasks such as uploading customs entries into Quantum our ERP system. To provide customs clearance instructions to any forwarders requesting them. You will learn to be responsible for managing the Customs clearance process, handle the respective paperwork and co-ordinate between customers, suppliers, consignees, and agents. You will submit import/export customs entries following & applying customs procedures as appropriate.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Liaising with agents, customers, and consignees
• Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export clearances
• Dealing with entry queries - commodity codes, duty rates, and documentation requirements
• Calculation of Duty and VAT rates per consignment where applicable
• Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation, laws, and customs procedures
• Other duties as assigned
