Job summary

Co-op is looking for Customer Team Members to join our team in a busy local store, including posts in the post office or bakery and online order preparation. You will be part of a friendly team delivering essential services to the community.

Applicants should enjoy helping people, be flexible across varied shifts, and have an interest in retail. Full training will be provided, with a view to long-term employment and progression within the Co-op group.

Qualifications

A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and thoughtful service to customers and help resolve issues when needed.
Work with the team to keep the store running smoothly.
Operate shop floor and tills, support post office counter transactions, and contribute to daily operations.
Maintain shelves, check prices, dates and stock accuracy.
Ensure store safety and compliance with pricing and stock controls.
Promote Co-op Membership and support local community initiatives.
