Job summary

Co-op Group in Pickering is hiring Customer Team Members to deliver friendly, helpful service in a busy local store. You’ll help stock shelves, assist customers, and handle till transactions while working a mix of opening, middle, and closing shifts.

Full training is provided and there is regular overtime for some roles. Join a community-minded team and promote Co-op membership, while contributing to store operations and quality service for daily needs and special orders, including online orders

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and friendly demeanor.
• Willingness to work across a mix of shifts including weekends.
• Interest in retail and busy store environments (experience not required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers on the shop floor and tills.
• Keep shelves stocked and support daily store operations.
• Assist with price checks, dates, and stock accuracy.
• Contribute to a safe, legal store environment and adjust stock as needed.
• Promote Co-op Membership and engage with community initiatives where possible.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth running of the store.
