Job summary

Co-op in Hartlepool is hiring a Customer Team Member to join a friendly store team. You will deliver warm, helpful service on the shop floor and assist with post office, bakery, or online order pick/pack tasks depending on the day. Full training is provided, and you’ll be part of a busy community hub.

This role suits someone who enjoys helping people, can work across a mix of shifts, including weekends, and wants to be part of a co-operative community that values its members and local charities.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to adapt to a mix of shifts and store tasks.
• Interest in retail and serving the local community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, helpful service on the shop floor and tills.
• Support day-to-day store operations and stock management.
• Assist with post office, bakery, or online order pick/pack tasks where applicable.
• Keep shelves stocked, check prices and dates, and maintain stock accuracy.
• Promote Co-op Membership and engage with customers and the community.
