Job summary

Co-op is looking for a Customer Team Leader to guide a small store team and manage daily operations, including potential duties in the post office or bakery and supporting online services and home delivery drivers.

You will be a familiar face in the community, promoting Co-op membership and helping to drive growth in services and charity partnerships. The role combines customer service, merchandising, and people management in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• The ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, including in-store bakery.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op membership and community engagement in daily duties.
