Job summary

The Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Leader to guide a small store team on a 16-hour-per-week contract, with regular overtime, and a permanent part-time role. You’ll cover shifts such as 2pm–10pm, lead by example on the shop floor, tills, and daily operations.

You’ll drive excellent service, merchandising and stock accuracy, engage with customers, and promote Co-op membership and local community links. The package includes 30% colleague discount, 36 days holiday pro-rata, pension contributions,

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
