Job summary

Vp plc is seeking a delivery/field service driver to join our team in the UK. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting equipment, liaising with customers, and handling basic equipment queries with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will use our M42 system and route planning tools to ensure timely, accurate handovers and maintain high service standards across branches.

Qualifications

• Must have multi-drop delivery experience and a valid Category B license.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to explain equipment use clearly.
• Basic numeracy and IT literacy to handle administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with the local area to optimise routes and inform customers.

Responsibilities

Job description

On joining our team you’ll be providing great customer service by delivering and collecting equipment from customers, suppliers, and other Vp businesses in a professional, safe, and timely manner.

You will also play a crucial role in supporting the branch and building positive customer relationships through high quality technical handovers and answering basic equipment queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with UK laws, prioritising the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Interact with customers during equipment deliveries and collections, addressing any queries and ensuring a positive and professional experience.
• Perform thorough cleaning and testing of returned equipment.
• Use of digital tools such as our M42 system to streamline operations and track deliveries.
• Utilize route planning software to optimize delivery routes, minimize travel time, and maximize efficiency.
• Accurately complete all necessary processes related to deliveries, collections, and technical handovers.
• Undertake any mandatory and other training required to do the job role.

What We’re Looking For

• Must have multi-drop delivery experience.
• Hold a Category B driving license, with a strong emphasis on safe and responsible driving.
• Ability to engage effectively with customers, providing clear and concise information during technical handovers.
• Ability to prioritise customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring their understanding of equipment usage, and building positive relationships.
• Possess basic numeracy, IT, and literacy skills to fulfil administrative requirements.
• Familiarity with the local area to optimise routes and provide relevant information to customers.
• Display flexibility in adapting to varying job responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team and business.
