Job summary

VP plc seeks a delivery driver for multi-drop work across the UK, handling equipment handovers and customer interactions with care and professionalism.

You will operate the M42 system, plan efficient routes, and ensure all deliveries and returns are processed accurately while staying compliant with safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have multi-drop delivery experience.
• Hold a Category B driving license with emphasis on safe driving.
• Able to engage with customers with clear, concise handovers.
• Strong numeracy, IT and literacy skills for admin tasks.
• Familiar with local area to optimize routes.
• Flexible to adapt to varying job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and in UK compliance.
• Interact with customers during deliveries and collections.
• Clean and test returned equipment.
• Use the M42 system to track work.
• Utilize route planning software to optimise routes.
• Complete all delivery/collection handovers and paperwork.
• Attend mandatory training as required.

Job Introduction

On joining our team you'll be providing great customer service by delivering and collecting equipment from customers, suppliers, and other Vp businesses in a professional, safe, and timely manner.

You will also play a crucial role in supporting the branch and building positive customer relationships through high quality technical handovers and answering basic equipment queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with UK laws, prioritising the safety of yourself and others on the road
• Interact with customers during equipment deliveries and collections, addressing any queries and ensuring a positive and professional experience.
• Perform thorough cleaning and testing of returned equipment
• Use of digital tools such as our M42 system to streamline operations and track deliveries
• Utilize route planning software to optimize delivery routes, minimize travel time, and maximize efficiency
• Accurately complete all necessary processes related to deliveries, collections, and technical handovers
• Undertake any mandatory and other training required to do the job role

What We're Looking For

• Must have multi-drop delivery experience
• Hold a Category B driving license, with a strong emphasis on safe and responsible driving
• Ability to engage effectively with customers, providing clear and concise information during technical handovers.
• Ability to prioritise customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring their understanding of equipment usage, and building positive relationships.
• Possess basic numeracy, IT, and literacy skills to fulfil administrative requirements.
• Familiarity with the local area to optimise routes and provide relevant information to customers.
• Display flexibility in adapting to varying job responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team and business.
