Job summary

MathWorks seeks a proactive university engagement specialist to drive adoption of MATLAB and Simulink across Engineering and Science curricula at universities. You will collaborate with researchers and educators to tailor solutions that support teaching and discovery.

The role is based in Cambridge with some travel, and involves building strong relationships with faculty and researchers to influence curriculum, coursework, and research projects.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, track and influence adoption of MathWorks products in relevant Engineering, Science and Business courses, at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
  • Engage with academics to understand their goals and challenges. Leverage product knowledge and industry experience to recommend MathWorks solutions.
  • Identify activities to increase adoption of MathWorks products across a set of universities. Regularly review the key metrics to adapt plans.
  • Scope curriculum support projects for supporting engineers to execute.
  • Advocate and support deeper use of MathWorks products across all aspects of a university, including curriculum and coursework, in research, and in high-impact student activities (competitions, projects etc.).
  • Maintain rapport with leading faculty and researchers to persuade encourage them to advocate MathWorks products on-campus and in the broader academic community.
  • Maintain and complete existing curriculum or research projects with academics.
  • Advocate (write reports on usage of products and identify enhancements) on behalf of customers to influence the future of MathWorks products.

In this role you are the primary technical point of contact for university customers. It is your responsibility to empower them to solve their technical and business challenges. You demonstrate the value of MATLAB and Simulink to grow their adoption in teaching and research, and leverage your insight into academia to paint a vision of how MathWorks fosters success in education and discovery.


This role will require interaction with Universities and Research Institutions.


The position is based in Cambridge with some travel.
