Job description

We believe that simulation data is the untapped resource that can transform how simulation and training is delivered. Our HEAT product is a market leading solution designed to transform human performance simulation data into actionable insights for our customers.

As demand for our HEAT product increases, we now need a technical engineer who can support our customers commercially and technically, to understand their needs and communicate how we can solve their problems.

This new role at VRAI will be an important one in driving the growth of the company, and ensuring we compound our position as market leaders in the area of simulation & training data.

Key responsibilities

As the solutions architect at VRAI, you will work with our BD, Sales and Product teams to maintain and develop customer relationships and generate new opportunities with the customer by ensuring successful delivery of our product, and providing a customer intimate pre and post-sales experience.

You will need to bring a strong knowledge of one of the related technical areas of expertise (data science, data engineering or cloud architecture) and have the ability to think strategically, understand our product, and be able to identify opportunities for where it can integrate.

The ideal candidate should excel at communicating the value of data, analytics, and performance metrics to our potential and current customers, while nurturing and maintaining a close relationship with them.

You should be able to:

  • Conduct technical demonstrations of our products for customers, understand customer needs and advise on how our products can help to solve their problems and add value.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with multiple large aerospace and defence OEMs/Primes so that you can understand their needs, and communicate how we can solve them.
  • Develop and execute pre and post-sales plans that lead to an intimate customer relationship, and positive customer experience
  • Provide best practice advice to VRAI’s customers and potential customers around how to connect and work with VRAI’s products.
  • Analyse client requirements and propose tailored solutions architecture, workflows, and deliverables.
  • Work with the product team to ensure the successful technical delivery of 6-7 figure, complex, technical sales.
  • Generate “pull through” demand with the end users of our OEM/Prime customers by developing a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Work in a team environment and build relationships at executive, senior technical management and key contributor levels.
  • Contribute to the preparation of written proposals, and work with internal team members, for the purpose of closing business.
  • Support the execution of complex technical sales and partnership plans, which may involve imaginative business agreements to meet or exceed targets.

Qualifications & Profile

  • Bachelor Degree level qualification in relevant field of study i.e. technical or sales related, or other advanced business management degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of sales and/or business development experience in technical software and engineering services.
  • Experience working with one or more leading Aerospace & Defense companies, or related business in data, cloud, AI, etc.
