The University of Southampton Library Service is hiring a part-time Customer Services Assistant. Based at the Health Services Library with duties across sites, you will deliver frontline customer support, guide users of spaces and services, and handle queries across in-person, online, and phone channels.
You will join a professional team with a focus on providing high-quality service to students, staff and the wider community.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the University of Southampton Library Service as a Customer Services Assistant.
You do not need to have worked in a library before. We are looking for people with strong customer service experience, for example in retail, hospitality or other busy public-facing environments. Our libraries operate across four sites and welcome students, staff and the wider community. This is a varied, people-centred role where you will support a wide range of customers and help them make the most of our spaces and services.
The Role
As a Customer Services Assistant, you will play an important role within a professional and supportive team, helping to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the Library within a busy, customer-focused environment.

You will be based at the Health Services Library based at Southampton General Hospital but will often be required to work across other sites in line with service needs.
