Elliotts is offering an apprenticeship-based customer service role at our Totton branch. You’ll learn on the job while supporting counter and phone orders, pricing quotes, and helping customers with their building projects.

This full-time position includes on-site training, 40 hours per week, and benefits such as pension, holidays, and staff discounts. GCSEs including English and Maths are required.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent at grade A*-C (Grade 4 to 9) including English and Maths.

Responsabilités

• Serve trade and home customers at the counter, on the phone and by email.
• Work out prices and quotes for customers' jobs.
• Assist with deliveries and yard duties, checking in orders and loading materials.
• Learn stock ordering and branch operations with the Branch Manager.
• Support branch team across Elliotts as needed.

The role

Within your working day, you'll be working towards your Apprenticeship with HTP Apprenticeship College whilst:

• Getting to know our products, from timber and bricks to everything else a job needs

• Serving trade and home customers at the counter, on the phone and by email

• Working out prices and quotes for customers' jobs

• Getting out in the yard, checking in deliveries and loading up customers

• Seeing how we plan deliveries and get materials out to sites on time

• Learning how we order stock and make sure we've got what customers need

• Finding out what makes a branch successful, from looking after customers to making a profit

• Working alongside your Branch Manager to see how a branch is run day to day

• Spending time with other branches and teams across Elliotts
