Job summary

Elliotts is a long-standing family-owned builders' merchant seeking a Yard Assistant to help deliver excellent customer service in a busy yard at Lymington. The role focuses on serving customers, forklift operation where trained, and maintaining yard standards.

You will load and unload lorries, receive and store goods, and handle yard paperwork while working with a friendly, professional team. Benefits include profit share and strong wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift license preferred, training can be provided.
• Driving license required.
• Knowledge of building materials an advantage, training can be provided.
• Friendly and professional manner.
• Good communication skills.
• High standards of customer service.

As a Yard Assistant, you'll be on the frontline when it comes to serving our customers and delivering the very best customer service.

Key responsibilities:

• Serving customers in the yard, both manually and with a forklift

• Loading/unloading lorries

• Receiving and storing products from suppliers and dealing with associated paperwork

• Housekeeping in the yard

What you need:

• Counterbalance forklift license (preferred but training can be provided)

• Driving license

• Knowledge of building materials would be an advantage but training can be provided

• Friendly and professional manner

• Good communication skills

• High standards of customer service
