Job summary

Wickes in Worcester is looking for a customer-focused team member to help customers, keep shelves stocked and provide a friendly checkout experience.

You’ll work a structured 12-hour contract across three days per week, with rotas planned 3–4 weeks in advance. Benefits include a tiered pay rate by age, a gain-share/bonus scheme, pension contributions, up to 35 days of leave, staff discount and wellbeing schemes.

The Role...

Whatever your role in and around the store, everything you do will be focused on the customer experience. Parking will be a breeze, trolleys in easy reach, help always at hand, stock in the right place, deliveries out on time and payment met with a smile. Of course, while you’re creating a helpful and friendly customer experience, we’ll be thinking of new ways to reward, develop and invest in you. You’ll receive all the training, support and opportunities you need. Think of it as a down-to-earth place to work, where you get to go up in the world.

About you...

Every day you’ll be dealing with and assisting customers, so it’s important that you offer every person that walks through our doors a high level of customer service. We look for someone who ideally has experience working in a similar role.

Hours & Schedule

Enjoy work-life balance with a structured 12-hour contract split across 3 days per week.

• Shift Breakdown: Weekday Evenings (16:15–20:15), Saturdays (15:15–19:15), and Sundays (12:15–16:15).

• Advanced Planning: Rotas are provided 3 to 4 weeks in advance, giving you plenty of notice to manage your personal schedule. Flexibility across weekdays and weekends is required.
