Job summary

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is seeking a Customer Sales Advisor on a temporary basis at Lough Moss Leisure Centre, Carryduff. You will deliver a professional front-of-house service to visitors, members and prospective members, and support a busy leisure facility.

The role requires cash handling, bookings processing, and confident use of MS Word and Outlook. The position offers 8 hours per week on a rota including evenings, weekends and public holidays, starting 28 September 2026 for

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or 4 years' relevant experience.
• At least 1 year's experience in customer service, front of house or admin/clerical work.
• Experience handling cash and preparing lodgements.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
• Strong customer care, communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work a rota including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Providing a friendly, professional front-of-house service to customers and members
• Proactively selling and promoting Sports & Leisure services and products
• Processing casual and membership bookings, including phone and email enquiries
• Processing customer purchases and reconciling cash for lodgement
• Carrying out general clerical duties as required
• Assisting with stock control and replenishment of information stands
• Ensuring Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies are complied with at all times

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills to join a busy council leisure facility, providing a professional front-of-house service to visitors, members and potential members.

Key details:

Pay: 13.69 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 8 hours per week (rota includes evenings, weekends and public holidays)

Duration: 24 weeks

Start date: 28th September 2026

Key responsibilities:

What we're looking for:
