Stryker is offering a placement in Belfast that is onsite, aligned with its 2027 Cooperative cohort. The program provides hands-on exposure to medical device quality and regulatory activities within a global leader in orthopaedics and medical technology.

You will contribute to quality improvements, assist in regulatory compliance, and participate in post-market activities, supported by mentors and leaders who help grow your confidence and professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a relevant degree with acceptable 1st year results.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous product and process quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance to regulation and standards.
  • Support investigations into NCs and CAPAs from products in the field.
  • Apply fundamentals of Quality and Regulatory environment, Post-Market focus.
  • Gather and analyze Post Market data to identify quality improvements.
  • Support complaint handling to ensure trending information is accurate and up to date.
  • Provide post-market input on safety, durability and reliability design input specifications.
  • Support PSUR activities.
  • May assist field action related activities (investigations, PFAA, HHEs).

Job description

Role Overview

Work Flexibility: Onsite This role will be based in our Belfast site. Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker's 2027 Cooperative cohort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for continuous product and process quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance to regulation and standards.
  • May support investigations into NCs and CAPAs stemming from the products in the field.
  • Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the general Quality and Regulatory environment, Post-Market, in particular.
  • Gather and analyze Post Market trending data (e.g. Q, service reports, complaints, MDR/MIR) to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Support and communicate with complaint handling function to ensure trending information is accurate and up to date.
  • Provide post-market input and feedback on safety, durability, and reliability design input specifications for Quality report, design reviews, risk analysis, and customer research.
  • Support on PSUR.
  • May support field action related activities i.e., investigations, PFAA, HHEs, etc.
Qualifications

Relevant on-going degree course with acceptable 1st year results. Relevant A-levels of equivalent.

Technical Knowledge
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, 14971, GDP, GMP desired.
  • Knowledge of Quality Concepts (e.g. Risk Management, CAPA, Audits, Statistics).
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and application.
  • Understanding of US and International Medical Device Regulations.

Location & Compensation

Belfast: £25,000 GBP Annual.

Work Flexibility Remote - Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
