Job summary

Stryker Belfast is offering a cooperative placement in the clinical department focused on supporting pre-clinical, clinical and usability testing activities, as well as document and data management. You'll collaborate with regulatory, quality and marketing teams and gain exposure to ISO 13485, GLP and ISO 14155 standards.

You will assist in post-market activities, data processing, and preparation of technical reports, while training with our multi-disciplinary team and contributing to real-world

Qualifications

  • Ongoing degree with acceptable first year results.
  • Relevant A-levels or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
  • Familiarity with medical devices or cardiovascular domain is a plus.
  • Proficient with basic Office tools and literature/pub search.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for pre-clinical, clinical and usability testing activities.
  • Support document management, data management and analysis within the clinical dept.
  • Assist regulatory, quality and marketing functions as needed.
  • Support post-market clinical follow up activities.
  • Assist data management of clinical including data management plans.
  • Assist data processing activities.
  • Contribute to engineering documentation for regulatory submissions and pre-submissions.
  • Assist in initial bench/pilot testing and write/review technical reports.
  • Coordinate with training officer and help train placement students.
  • Organize stakeholder/advisory meetings and maintain ISO 13485/GLP/ISO 14155 compliant docs.

Job description

This role will be based in our Belfast site.

Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2027 Cooperative cohort.

Tasks and responsibilities may include:

Provide support for pre-clinical, clinical and usability testing activities within the clinical dept. The team member will provide support in document management, data management and analysis. The team member will also support other functions such as regulatory, quality and marketing.

  • Supporting post-market clinical follow up activities.
  • Assist data management of clinical including the creation of data management plans.
  • Assist data processing activities.
  • Assist with engineering documentation for clinical regulatory submissions and pre-submissions.
  • Assist in initial Bench/Pilot testing and writing or review of technical reports.
  • Liaising with the training officer and assisting in the training of industrial placement students.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of stakeholder and advisory meetings.
  • Creating and updating documentation in accordance with ISO 13485, GLP and ISO 14155.
What you will need:
Qualifications:
  • Relevant on-going degree course with acceptable 1st year results.
  • Relevant A-levels of equivalent.
Specific Knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of medical devices, particularly cardiovascular.
  • Knowledge or experience of general electronics hardware would be useful.
System/Computer Requirements:
  • Basic Microsoft Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to utilise publication search engines.
