Job summary

Holt Executive Ltd is seeking a proactive Systems Engineer to deliver bespoke engineering and test solutions across aerospace, defence and regulated industries. You will bridge customers and multidisciplinary teams, translating needs into clear requirements, architectures and practical deliverables.

The role covers the full lifecycle from requirements capture to commissioning and customer acceptance, with exposure to verification, testing and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a Systems/Electrical/Electronic/Aerospace Engineering field.
• Experience in systems engineering, requirements management and system design.
• Ability to capture and manage customer and system requirements.
• Understanding of system architecture, functional decomposition and interface management.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Knowledge of verification, validation, integration and acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand operational needs, technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead requirements workshops and translate customer needs into clear, verifiable system requirements.
• Develop system concepts, architectures, use cases and interface definitions.
• Coordinate hardware, software, electrical and mechanical engineering inputs to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate technical options and trade-offs, balancing performance, reliability, safety, cost and schedule.
• Manage requirements traceability, technical risks, assumptions and engineering changes.
• Contribute to technical reviews and ensure designs meet agreed requirements.
• Develop verification and validation strategies, test plans and acceptance documentation.
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, factory acceptance testing, commissioning and customer demonstrations.
• Maintain alignment between system requirements, design decisions and verification evidence.
• Communicate technical progress, risks and issues to customers, project managers and engineering stakeholders.
• Support delivered systems during warranty and in-service operation where required.
