1st Choice Staff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a friendly Customer Service Advisor to join a busy team in Kempston (office-based). The role involves handling customer enquiries across channels, using Shopify and internal systems, and delivering excellent service.

Full-time position with a weekend rota and occasional out-of-hours cover. We provide full training; previous customer service experience is helpful but not essential, and a positive attitude is valued.

Qualifications

• Some experience in customer service, retail or office environment.
• Confident speaking with customers over the telephone.
• Comfortable using IT systems and learning new software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and able to manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, social media and online marketplaces.
• Handle inbound calls professionally and direct enquiries to correct departments.
• Resolve customer queries quickly and provide excellent service at every stage.
• Encourage satisfied customers to leave positive online reviews.
• Manage customer orders using Shopify and internal systems.
• Provide product information, stock availability and sizing advice.
• Resolve delivery issues, postage enquiries and customer complaints.
• Identify opportunities to promote products and upsell where appropriate.
