About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient running of the shop in a friendly environment.

Note: You need to be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in store and manage your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
• IT literate.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is a plus.
