About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll deliver the quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers’ doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers.

When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.

Note: Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, preparing for your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand positively on the road with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed to ensure smooth shop operations.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management abilities.
• Physical capability to handle role requirements, such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
