About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You will embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, preparing for deliveries.
• Check your delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust.
• Support shop team tasks when needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Valid UK manual driving licence (category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Physical ability to handle lifting and moving crates and cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles preferred.
