About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and health and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
