About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll be delivering quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with their shopping, building rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Full valid UK manual driving licence (category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• IT literate.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
