About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos—passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's smooth operation in a friendly team environment. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, reviewing your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid UK manual B-category driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is advantageous.
