Job summary

Tesco’s Customer Delivery Driver role is a hands-on, physical job where you meet customers at their homes and provide great service with a smile. Pay starts at £14.18 per hour and rises to £15.45 in stores within the M25, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week and options for 12‑hour roles.

You’ll be on the road delivering orders, loading the van, and handling substitutions or refunds as needed, all while keeping a tidy workspace and building rapport with customers.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• A warm, friendly approach and a commitment to great service.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries within the customer’s time slot with a friendly, reassuring approach.
• Load the van safely and keep equipment and workspace tidy and roadworthy.
• Discuss order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items with customers and apply refunds when needed.
• Maintain quality and trust by handling products with care and delivering in excellent condition.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and high service standards.
