Job summary

ASDA in Portsmouth is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join the store team. You will load your van and deliver groceries to customers’ doors with a smile.

This part-time role is afternoons, 21 hours per week, permanent contract. Training provided and you’ll contribute to smooth store operations and great customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings – no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the van for delivery.
• Deliver to regular customers and ensure orders reach doors with a smile.
• Keep the van clean and well-maintained for the next delivery.
• Participate in training provided by the company.
• Help the team during peak times, including picking and packing online orders.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
