About the role

You will be joining a new, exciting, and fast-moving Insight & Analytics team within the Group Acquisition & Analytics department. Our primary role is to improve understanding, measurement, and optimization of new customer acquisition through digital marketing.

As Senior Customer Analyst, you will promote the voice of the customer, always considering how our projects and initiatives impact the customer and discovering ways to enhance their lifetime value. Your expertise in digital marketing data sources, data processing, and analytics will be crucial. The business relies on sophisticated A/B testing to select between marketing strategies, and you will play an integral role in this area. We are seeking a data and analytics superstar with a proven track record of applying these skills effectively in digital marketing.

What skills do we look for in our Senior Customer Analysts?

  • Excellent analytical skills, from sourcing relevant datasets to building analytical processes and delivering findings in written or presentation form.
  • High proficiency in using and exploring data generated by Google Ads, Google Search Console, GA4.
  • Confidence in all aspects of Google BigQuery, especially crafting complex, multi-CTE queries.
  • Comfort with sophisticated A/B testing, from quick tactical tests to developing extensive frameworks for larger marketing conclusions.
  • Power BI expertise, including DAX, time intelligence, complex data models, parameter fields, scheduling, and working with multiple data sources.
  • Ability to analyze large quantities of data to identify key insights relevant to the business.
  • Experience in writing R/Python and SQL scripts from scratch.
  • Education to degree level in a relevant mathematical or related discipline.

Additional desirable skills:

  • Ability to navigate a large, multinational organization to maximize collaboration and minimize duplication.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications, including customer segmentation.
  • Experience building data pipelines; although not an engineering role, working knowledge of formal pipeline processes is valuable.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and processing Google Reviews and NPS data.
  • Practical knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
  • E-commerce experience.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience working in a subscription-based or e-commerce service business.
  • Experience in the veterinary or pet-related industries.
