Job summary

B&Q Limited in Southport is seeking a Stock Flow Customer Advisor on a part-time basis (20 hours/week) for a 3-month fixed-term contract. Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 6:00am–8:00pm, with a UK notional hourly rate of £13.10.

This role is based in-store at B&Q Southport, supporting stock flow and customer service. You will help keep shelves stocked, assist customers with practical advice, and contribute to a safe, efficient store environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and planning skills.
• Organised and analytical thinker who stays calm in busy periods.
• Team player comfortable with new technology and flexible to weekends/evenings/bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shelves are stocked with customer-needed items.
• Assist customers with clear, practical advice and guidance.
• Support safety and efficiency in-store operations and, if possible, obtain forklift license.
• Contribute to developing solutions and decisions to grow the business, as part of the team.

You’re an organised and analytical thinker, and you know how to keep things simple. You also know how to work as a team – supporting your fellow colleagues and working through what you need to do, together. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
