Job summary

B&Q Newry is looking for a friendly Customer Advisor to join our team. Full Time or Part Time options are available, with shifts across 6.00am–10.00pm. You’ll help customers with home improvement ideas, advice and product selection, and contribute to striking displays and stock management.

The role includes training in paint-mixing and timber cutting, with a strong emphasis on delivering excellent customer service and building confidence for shoppers.

Qualifications

• Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement.
• You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others.
• You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be an expert advisor and guide for customers.
• Sales will be important, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great.
• You’ll be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.
