Job summary

B&Q Jersey is seeking a Customer Advisor to join our team on a Full Time fixed-term contract. You’ll support customers with home improvement needs, provide friendly guidance, and help maintain attractive displays.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–8.00pm, with an hourly rate of £15.24 (inclusive of £2.14 location allowance). The role includes on-site training and a welcoming, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, with a passion for helping others.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Able to work a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert customer advice and guidance across home improvement needs.
• Assist with stock management, setting up displays and store presentation.
• Be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting as needed.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
