Job summary

B&Q Jersey is hiring a Customer Advisor on a full-time basis (36.45 hours per week) for a 3-month fixed-term contract. Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–8.00pm, with an hourly rate of £15.24 including a store location allowance.

Join us to help customers with home improvement projects, manage stock, set up displays, and maintain an inviting store environment. Training in paint-mixing and timber cutting may be provided, with a strong emphasis on friendly, helpful service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to help customers.
• Team player with good communication.
• Willing to learn and use new technology and ways of working.
• Able to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sell products and advise customers on home improvement projects.
• Manage stock and stock levels on the shop floor.
• Set up product displays and ensure the store looks inviting and well-organised.
• Provide excellent customer service and support at the point of sale.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.
