Key Responsibilities:
As an Import/Export Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations across nominated customer accounts while acting as a key link between customers and internal teams.
- Oversee customer operations, service levels and contractual requirements
- Ensure customs compliance across nominated accounts
- Build and maintain strong local, regional and international customer relationships
- Support account development, commercial growth and continuous improvement
- Monitor volumes, revenue, profitability and operational performance
- Produce and review regular customs and financial reporting
- Coordinate customer teams and ensure consistent processes across the wider network
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen margins
- Attend customer meetings both on and off site
- Work closely with supply chain, logistics and internal management teams
- Lead projects and support the development of customer solutions
- Contribute to team development and wider business objectives
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking an experienced logistics professional with strong customs knowledge and the confidence to manage both people and customer relationships.
- Minimum 5 years’ senior‑level experience within freight forwarding and customs
- Strong knowledge of customs regimes and international transportation
- Experience across import/export processes and supply chain operations
- Commercially aware with a proven track record in customer service
- Strong negotiation, presentation and project management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Confident using Microsoft Office and operational systems
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strategic outlook
- Strong people skills with the ability to achieve results through others
